I have researched new developments in science and can explain how their current or future applications might impact on modern life.
Antioxidants (Workshop) – A Range of investigations to look at antioxidant levels in fruits and teas (though the method can be adapted for any antioxidant).
Ceramics (workshop) – A suite of activities to explore the properties of some ceramics.
Dye Sensitised Solar Cells (workshop) – An activity to show generation of electricity from plant pigments.
Guzzling Plants (workshop) – Experiment and activities looking at phytoremediation and copper uptake in plants.
Liquid Crystals (workshop) – Making liquid crystals of different compositions and investigating the effect of temperature on their colour changes
Plastic Fantastic (workshop) – Synthesis and testing of an electrically conductive plastic – polypyrrole.
