Genetic diseases feature in several areas of the Higher Human Biology curriculum. SSERC, with additional support from SQA, has produced a resource which examines 10 of these genetic conditions.
The resource involves learners in a discussion about genetic disorders and the background information booklet provides them with essential information which will enable them to consider the dilemmas from an informed position. For some of the genetic conditions data is provided and this might assist the learners if they wished to take this topic forward as part of an investigative assignment.
