SSERC’s annual Science Probationer Residential course took place between December 2023 and January 2024. In total, we worked with 71 probationer Science teachers from a range of different local authorities. Our Biology, Chemistry and Physics Professional Learning teams provided ideas for hands-on practical activities, aligned to 3rd and 4th level Experiences and Outcomes, along with a Data Science session and input from our STEM Engagement team. Our relaxed evening activity, “Lion’s Lair”, provided entertainment and networking opportunities.
