We are pleased to have Gareth Warren join the SSERC Board of Directors and Trustees, representing SLS (School Leaders Scotland).
Educated at University of Liverpool (Pharmacology) and University of Bristol (Post Graduate in Education), Gareth attended University of Edinburgh to secure his Scottish Qualification for Headship and Post Graduate in Educational Leadership and Management.
Prior to moving to George Heriots School Gareth was Rector at Morrison’s Academy where he led the introduction of a STEM programme at the School, connecting the Crieff and Strathearn community through the reestablishment of the Crieff Stem Festival. Gareth has held teaching posts as Depute Head Teacher, Senior School at George Watson’s College, Principal Teacher of Chemistry at Craigmount High School, Edinburgh and Head of Science at Warwick Academy, Bermuda, as well as starting his teaching career in sciences at state comprehensives in the North West of England.
As a passionate advocate for the education of sciences and STEM, Gareth has valued the influence and professionalism of SSERC throughout his teaching and leadership career.
